Run Cheltenham offers three incredible and unique racing experiences for all ages and abilities. From those wanting to experience running for the first time to the competitive athletes wanting to push for their personal best times, we have something for all running-enthusiasts alike.

CHELTENHAM HALF
The famous 13.1 mile experience through Cheltenham's beautiful town centre. Starting and finishing at the incredible Cheltenham Racecourse, challenge yourself today for one of the UK's most loved half marathons. A mostly flat route, ideal for achieving personal bests and some of the best spectator support when running through the town centre.

CHELTENHAM 10K
Also starting and finishing at the incredible Cheltenham Racecourse, this 10k race highlights the best Cheltenham has to offer and is perfect for those runners who want experience this regency town centre without the longer 13.1 miles distance. The route follows the first and last sections of the half marathon and is ideal for the regular 5k runner wanting the next step up.

MOKI COMMUNITY MILE
Family-friendly fun and the perfect introductory distance of 1.1 miles to push first-time runners. All ages welcome to this quick and enjoyable running challenge, also starting and finishing at Cheltenham's very own Racecourse. Setting off directly after the half marathon and 10k races, and the first to finish under the Run Cheltenham Gantry. It's in the taking part that counts!

VOLUNTEER
Events such as Run Cheltenham could not take place without the support of the our generous Volunteers, who give up their valuable time to help us deliver this amazing event. Run Cheltenham's Volunteers will play a crucial role in bringing our three races to life! Simply by offering a smiley face and plenty of encouragement, as well as important details about the run to those taking part and spectating, will help make the experience great for so many people.
Here are some of our roles...

Pack Collection
Helping any runners who have not received their packs or need replacement numbers.
Start/Finish Line
There to direct runners into the correct timing pen before the start of the race. You'll also help clear the start/finish line ready for the return of the half marathon runners, as well as helping to put up and remove branding, offering runners encouragement and making sure there is a steady flow of finishers.
Water Station
There to set up the water station, top up water bottles, hand out water bottles and clear away the station once all the runners have passed. (IDEAL FOR GROUPS)
Baggage Drop
There to manage the baggage store throughout the event, make sure all bags are labelled, to store baggage neatly and securely, and to return bags to runners post-event. (IDEAL FOR GROUPS)
Course Marshal
There to direct runners along the route, the perfect role for those with a little running experience! You'll direct spectators, make sure that roads remain clear for the runners and feed information back to Event Control.
Groups BONUS
Many of the voluntary roles at the Cheltenham's Half are perfect for local organisations and larger groups of people.
Each group of 15+ that volunteers at the event will receive a donation to their organisation.

ELITE / GOOD FOR AGE
Elite and Good for Age Entry applications are now open.
The qualifying times for an elite place are 70 minutes for men and 80 minutes for women.
Good for age qualifying times are detailed below.
If you qualify for one of our elite or good for age places please contact us via the website before you sign up with details of where/when you achieved the qualifying time within the last 12 months.
Runners meeting the elite criteria will receive a free entry into Run Cheltenham 2022 and all the below benefits. Good for age runners will be required to pay the standard entry fee, but will receive the below benefits:
- Elite / Good for age start at the front of the race
- Separate baggage store to main field
- Access to separate toilets

U20 -80 mins (Mens), 95 mins (Womens)
Senior - 75 mins (Mens), 90 mins (Womens)
V40 - 80 mins (Mens), 95 mins (Womens)
V50 - 90 mins (Mens), 110 mins (Womens)

PACER
Pacers are crucial to the overall performance and enjoyment of Run Cheltenham. Being a pacer not only allows runners to gage their speed, but also for morale support along the route to make the day an unforgettable experience. We offer pacers across 30-minute intervals from 1 hour 30 to 2 hours 30, to ensure all speeds and abilities are catered for.
